Online Social Communities as Research Communities

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Social networks allow students and faculty to share ideas outside of class, but they can also encourage the sharing of research and commentary in a community of scholars. The website Scoop.it engenders this community by transforming bibliographies and literature reviews into discourse and scholars into editors of online academic aggregation.
